Flu Vaccine Information
PACE will be administering flu vaccines starting the beginning of November. Please call and set up an appontment near the end of October. Please note, PACE will not have the flu mist.
Please remember that thorough, frequent hand washing, using soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, is also a very effective defense against influenza.
New Automated Prescription Dispensing Service
PACE is very excited to introduce the InstyMeds™ automated prescription machines at our Eagan and West St. Paul sites, which will allow our
patients to fill their acute care prescriptions at the clinic without having to make an additional stop at a pharmacy.
The machines are extremely easy to use and 100% safe and accurate, designed to enhance and facilitate your visit to PACE. You may learn more
about InstyMeds™ here
Circumcision Service
As of February 2007, all newborn circumcisions will be performed at our Eagan clinic by appointment.
The decision was made to transfer this in-hospital service to an outpatient setting secondary to increasingly difficult
logistical issues. Please contact our Eagan office (651-454-7371) shortly after the birth of your son in order
to insure a timely scheduling of this elective procedure.
Weight Management Program
PACE is pleased to introduce its new weight management program for
children 6 years and older, headed by Dr. Heimel.
The program will consist of a combination of
medical, nutritional, psychological and physical interventions over block
periods of 8 weeks as well as long-term follow-up. Enrollment is limited,
so please contact us for further information and eligibility if interested
in joining.
Electronic Medical Records
Since early October 2004, PACE has initiated a gradual conversion to
Electronic Medical Records (EMR), which employs state of the art
computer technologies to achieve a nearly paperless medical environment.
This system is now fully implemented, leading to a
streamlined work flow, easy and fast access to medical records, and
improved safety checks and privacy. As always, PACE is continually
striving to enhance its patient care and this is a natural extension of
this mission. Please feel free to direct any questions you many have about
EMR to your provider.
Asthma Management Program
As of March 2005, we will be re-evaluating the current management of all our active asthma patients in order to be in closer compliance with recognized national guidelines. We will be performing regular pulmonary function tests and establishing structured Asthma Action Plans so as to ensure the highest quality of care for our asthma population. If you have a child with asthma, please contact your provider as soon as possible to arrange for a follow-up visit.
